These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WalkFog mobile application (the "App") and this website. By using WalkFog, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What WalkFog Does
WalkFog tracks your walks and unlocks map tiles as you explore your city on foot. Your location is processed only to award tiles, as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Use of the App
You may use the App only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for using the App safely. Do not use WalkFog while driving, and obey local laws and traffic at all times.
3. Your Account and Data
Progress starts on an anonymous account stored on your device. If you save your progress with Sign in with Apple or Google, your sign-in identifier is linked to your existing progress. You can delete your account, tiles, and walk history at any time from the App's Settings.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
WalkFog Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's App Store. All billing and subscription management are handled by Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are governed by Apple's policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property related to WalkFog, including the App, its software, and its map tile artwork, remains the property of WalkFog. Map data used in the App is provided by third parties and remains subject to their rights.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Do not attempt to fake walking activity, spoof location, or otherwise manipulate tile unlocks or leaderboards.
- Do not attempt to interfere with, probe, or reverse engineer the App or our services.
- Do not use the App in ways that may harm WalkFog or its users.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and tiles or history stored with us may be limited or modified as the service evolves.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is". We make no guarantees about accuracy of location, distance, or tile calculations. WalkFog is a fitness-adjacent tool, not a safety or navigation device; do not rely on it for emergency or safety purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WalkFog and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any harm resulting from inattention while walking.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
